Booking · The basics
Can I drive the van?
Almost certainly yes. Here's everything you need to know before you book — six straightforward checks to make sure you're covered to take the keys.
Aged 25 to 70
The driver — and any named additional drivers — must be aged between 25 and 70. Drivers aged 21 to 24 may be considered with an additional excess.
Full licence, 2+ years
A full UK, EU, Australian or New Zealand licence held for at least two years. UK drivers will need a DVLA check code; all other licence holders will need to bring their passport.
A reasonably clean record
Up to two minor convictions (3 points each) and no more than one fault claim in the last five years. If you're unsure, please get in touch before booking.
Two proofs of address
From two different sources, in your name, dated within the last 90 days. Bank statements, utility bills and council tax all work — full list below.
Card or bank transfer
The booking and security deposit must be paid by credit or debit card, or by bank transfer, in the main driver's name. We can't accept cash.
Visiting from abroad?
We currently accept UK, EU, Australian and New Zealand licence holders only. If you hold a licence from elsewhere, please get in touch before booking.
Detail · Proof of address
Two of the following, please.
Both must be in your name, match the address on your licence, and be dated within the last 90 days. (An annual council tax bill is fine for the whole tax year.)

- Broadband / landline
- Mobile phone bill

Aged between 21 and 24? Get in touch before booking — we can usually still make it work, with a small additional excess on the insurance. Contact us.
All bookings are subject to our insurance criteria with Allianz Insurance plc. If anything in your situation is unusual or you're not sure, just ask — we'd much rather have a quick chat than turn you away on the day.
