Rat Race Coast to Coast Support Vehicle & Mobile Basecamp
Coordinating logistics for a 100-mile point-to-point race across the Scottish Highlands is a nightmare for athletes and support crews. Skip the hassle of booking multiple hotels along the route and pick up your mobile basecamp just minutes from Edinburgh Airport.
Ohm Campers “Juniper" is a fully electric Kia PV5 campervan designed for off-grid Scottish conditions. Designed for off-grid conditions, it serves as the ultimate zero-emission support vehicle, tracking the race from start to finish to ensure both athletes and crew are rested, fueled, and ready for every transition.
A bike can be store in the centre of the van when the king size bed isn’t setup (and there is still a full single for your support crew naps).
Support crew can assist in comfort running heating (or cooling - unlikely) air frying meals, and driving in safety without needing to lug a huge motorhome around the single track roads.
With a king size bed, overnight heating / AC to ensure a good nights sleep, outdoor cold shower to hose off after the race and an airfryer and induction hob for fuelling, you’ll be fully prepared for the event.
Race Day Logistics
The Ultimate Support Vehicle.
On-The-Move Sleep
Point-to-point racing means constantly moving locations. "Camping Mode" runs silent overnight AC and heating directly from the vehicle battery, maintaining a perfect 18°C temperature regardless of where you park. Catch crucial rest periods in the King size bed without worrying about check-out times.
Transition Zone Nutrition
Keep your athlete fueled at every transition. The rear slide-out kitchen is equipped with a gas-free induction hob and a 30L drawer fridge, giving your support crew the ability to cook hot meals and store cold recovery shakes anywhere on the route.
Mid-Race Washdowns
Transitioning from the kayak to the bike? Use our pressurised outdoor shower right at the transition zone to immediately wash off loch water and trail mud, keeping gear clean and spirits high for the next leg of the race.
Coast to Coast Range
With rapid 150kW Ionity chargers located at both Inverness (near the start) and Fort William (near the finish), shadowing your athlete across the Highlands is effortless and completely zero-emission.
